The third and final pilot episode of Salon Maxivive featured Lagos-based artist Musa Ganiyy, a longtime collaborator of Papa Oyeyemi. Their partnership began with the now-iconic 2016 “Cosmic” collection, which included hand-painted Crocs that quickly became a sensation and a collector’s item. On July 28th, Musa headlined the event in Lagos’ Fadeyi area, where he was joined by artist Chinaza Nkemka, photographer and curator Ugochukwu Emebiriodo, model Munichi Opoke, filmmaker Adedeji Olowu, chef Nicole Okorie, visual artist Ayobami Ogungbe, Nma and artist Aisha Aliyu-Bima. The group discussed each other’s past works over Papa’s Lagos-style Jollof rice before playing dress-up with Maxivive’s unreleased accessories.
